In a surprising crossover event that breaks usual predictions, the game developer has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Revealed
According to the formal statement, "A mysterious confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of banned practices and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The storyline introduces a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine cult.
The questline focuses on "peculiar tests and a fearsome foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Transformations
The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a striking scene showing a character, presumably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an special katana in addition to multiple items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
