Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Best-selling young adult author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A representative for the publisher said: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was reached following an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards women.
The firm has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."
A Prolific Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies globally in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
He has published over four dozen titles combined, encompassing a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
