Plane Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield

A jet ferrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an emergency landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the plane's windshield, per an official announcement which stated that Hegseth was safe.

"The jet touched down following established safety measures and all passengers, among them Pete Hegseth, is secure," a press officer commented in a social media post.

He was traveling back from a short visit to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.

This occurrence is not the first time that a American defense plane transporting a high-ranking official has experienced mechanical issues.

In a previous incident this year, a American military jet transporting the US Secretary of State to the city in Germany was required to return to Washington DC after suffering a mechanical fault.
