Recent incidents have highlighted these risks, including a widespread failure affecting worldwide digital services and recent cyber-attacks that halted manufacturing at significant plants and logistics systems across several organizations.

Leadership and Oversight

A ex-military leader of the the nation's space operations center will report back next month on how the publicly-supported center can optimally help the scope of official artificial intelligence goals in national security, homeland protection and intelligence.

Strategic Realignment

The organization's leader, a previous Amazon UK leader, confirmed that multiple research initiatives at the organization with 440 employees have been closed, transferred out or completed because they aren't consistent with the new direction.

Internal Challenges

The center has faced workplace difficulties since last year as employees objected against changes, culminating in a group of employees filing a whistleblower complaint to the relevant regulatory body.
